Franklin Lakes, NJ – Former Miss Bergen County Soneca Guadara now faces criminal charges arising out of an alcohol-fueled incident involving ten minors. Guadara, now 47 and a fashion designer, has stated she was not present at her suburban New Jersey home when the minors held their drinking party.
“It was the standard kids getting together, having alcohol thing,” said a police source who spoke on condition of remaining unidentified.
A call to police complaining of an intoxicated juvenile passed out in the neighborhood brought responding police officers to an address on Summit Avenue in Franklin Lakes just before 8pm on Friday, January 27th, reported police Capt. John Bakelaar. When they investigated, officers discovered alcohol being served to nine additional juveniles. Guadara has a college-age daughter. There was no report confirming the daughter was present at the party. Police have admitted they cannot confirm Guadara was home while the alcohol was being served.

Police sources assert Guadara was charged with nuisance, and leaving property in custody of another, where alcohol was being served to minors. Guadara has denied she was arrested.
“The crazy thing is that today is Tuesday and I have yet to be even summoned a notice from my police department, not to say I won’t,” Guadara emailed on Tuesday afternoon. “However, I was never taken into custody or told my rights. Bottom line is was never arrested.”
Guadara’s blog says she is a ‘mom to four kids’. She posts: “From Miami to the burbs of New Jersey (Yes, you can say she is a Real Housewife of New Jersey) this fabulous fashionista not only has a keen eye for fashion but she has amazing taste for interior decor and fashionable entertaining.”
A search of online case records made available by the Bergen Vicinage Court could not confirm any currently-pending criminal charges against Guadara.
